Indian navy has signed a Memorandum of
Understanding with the Engineering Major Larsen and Toubro aiming at bringing
together both the organizations to collaborate on innovative and pioneering
projects relating to contemporary and emerging technologies of mutual interest.
The MOU encompasses all aspects related to Electrical, Weapon, Engineering,
Machinery and Control and Hull of a Naval ship according to an official release
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)
was signed on April 20th by Vice Admiral Sandeep Naithani, Chief of Materiel
(COM) on behalf of Indian Navy and Mr Jayant Damodar Patil, Whole – Time
Director (Defence & Smart Technologies) and Member of the Board,
L&T.
The
MoU aims to engage Larsen and Toubro as
a Knowledge Partner for nurturing technologies in various domains, for
induction into the Indian Navy. Larsen and Toubro has a major shipyard at
Katupalli near Chennai. |
