CMA CGM Shared Service Centre (India) Private Limited signs MoU with Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College of Science, Madurai

Subbalakshmi Lakshmipathy College of Science, (SLCS) Madurai signed an MoU with CMA CGM Shared Service Centre (India) Private Limited, Chennai on 17.03.2021. CMA CGM is one of the world’s largest shipping companies.

By way of this MoU, Students of the Institution get the Opportunity to undergo their internships in one among the world’s largest shipping companies. The MoU Provides a chance to interact, learn and acquire knowledge from proven experts in the field of logistics and shipping during their training period and Enhances their employability in the field of logistics and shipping by receiving as it provides real time on-the-job training.  It provides ample opportunities to listen to periodic seminars and guest lecture from experts of the company both through online and Offline mode. If the company finds the student employable, the student might get placed in CMA CGM based on requirement.

The MoU facilitates the Company to fulfill its Corporate Social Responsibility(CSR) by enhancing the academic and employability skills of students coming from rural areas. As SLCS is an autonomous institution, periodic update in the syllabus can be made based on industry needs pertaining to logistics and shipping domain. This will drastically reduce the cost and time to the company in training students, compared to students from other institutions.
