The vessel M T Coral star which caused the leak has since moved to adjacent coal berth to facilitate berthing of other oil vessels waiting to enter the port. At least four crude and gas vessels have been waiting in the midstream for clearance to enter the port on November 22. The vessels have to pay heavy demurrage to the ship owners for the delay in clearance. No vessel was allowed into the port when the cleaning operations were on for the last four days.
