AECTPL at KPL on the same day.
Tonnage of the vessel is 48,338 MT. The LOA of the vessel is 255.37 m with a
arrival draft of 13 m. M.V. Leonidio has imported 486 laden TEUís and carried
287 TEUís from KPL. The Maersk Line India Private Limited has planned to have a
weekly call of CHX Service at AECTPL at KPL.

The Adani group has since then taken up the issue of disparities in
freight rates between Chennai and Kamarajar ports with the Shipping Ministry.
Now that the issue has been sorted out Maersk started the container service
from Kamarajar port skipping Chennai port.
continuance of evacuation issues at the Chennai port is said to be one of the
main reasons why the Maersk decided to shift to Kamarajar port in Ennore from Chennai port.
