Vessel calls APSEZ with largest parcel of steam coal

APSEZ Mundra added another feather to its cap when the vessel mv Hermine Oldendorff, owned and operated by Oldendorff Carriers, called the port on June 14, 2018 with an arrival draught of 17.58 m to discharge the largest parcel of 193,143.000 tonnes of steam coal in bulk at the West Basin. The world class owner, Oldendorff Carriers, Germany, through their vessel mv Hermine Oldendorff (built 2016, LOA 299.95 m) planned and loaded the largest parcel.

 

The vessel arrived at Mundra on June 14 under the agency of GAC Shipping (India) Pvt. Ltd and sailed out on June 18. It was an occasion to remember for the receiver Coastal Gujarat Power Ltd, APSEZ Mundra terminal and Oldendorff Carriers.

 

Officials from the port, receiver and vessel agent graced a function on board the vessel upon berthing. APSEZ Mundra officials presented a memento and a cake was cut along with the Master of the vessel and crew to mark this historic moment for all, highlighted a release.
