After taking delivery of its first newbuild containership with the company’s magenta colour, Jeremy Nixon, Chief Executive Officer of ONE said referring to the colour of the vessel that the colour shows our intentional drive to do things differently and explore newness in this market.

Ocean Network Express has taken delivery of its first newbuild containership sporting the company’s magenta color.

The ship, named ONE Stork, was delivered by Japan Marine United Corp’s Kure Shipyard in Kure, Japan.

ONE says the vessel also features improved hull form and other technologies designed to reduce emissions and optimize fuel consumption.

It is the first of seven newbuilds built with a capacity of 14,000 TEU.

The 364-meter-long ONE Stork will be phased into THE Alliance’s Asia to North America (East Coast) EC4 service with calls at the ports of Kaohsiung, Hong Kong, Yantian, Cai Mep, Singapore, New York, Norfolk, Savannah, Charleston, New York, and back to Singapore..

All seven of the 14,000 TEU newbuilds are planned for delivery this year.

The company has also started rebranding its other ships, starting with the ONE Committmentwhich just finished making her North American debut on the U.S. West Coast and British Columbia, Canada.
