Nhava Sheva International Container Terminal strengthens connectivity to China and Singapore with new weekly service - AS3

Global trade enabler DP World operated Nhava Sheva International Container Terminal (NSICT) hosted the maiden call of APL’s new weekly service - Asia Subcontinent Express 3 (AS3).

The first vessel to call under AS3 service was APL Japan.

This service strengthens India’s connectivity to China and Singapore. The service will be deploying vessels of more than 5000 TEU capacity and will follow the below port rotations:

Shanghai – Ningbo – Xiamen – Singapore – Nhava Sheva – Karachi – Shanghai

Capt. Ravinder Johal, Chief Executive Officer, DP World Nhava Sheva said, “At DP World, we believe in providing efficient and reliable flow of goods and services through high productivity. With the launch of APL’s AS3 service, we will be strengthening the Country’s connectivity to the crucial manufacturing hubs of South and Central Asia. We are diligently working towards enhancing terminal efficiency with efforts channelized towards providing customers with a cohesive experience while adding value to the trade.”

NSICT is India’s first public private partnership and has been redefining trade for the past two decades. The terminal handles both mainline as well as feeder services and boasts operational efficiency parameters such as gross crane rate, truck turnaround time and vessel dwell time, at par with the best container terminals across the globe, according to a release.
