Following delegation level talks, India and Equatorial Guinea signed
four agreements including in the field of health. India will extend assistance
to Equatorial Guinea in agriculture, telecommunications, IT and mining.
President Kovind had one to one talk with his Equatorial Guinea
Both the countries besides agreeing to strengthen the bilateral ties
also agreed to work together in UN and shared concern over the rising threats
of terrorism. They urged further cooperation in the fight against terrorism..
India has offered assistance to set up an Entrepreneurial Development Centre
and an English Language Laboratory in Equatorial Guinea.
Earlier, President Kovind reached Malabo, the capital
of Equatorial Guinea on Saturday night in the first leg of his three nation
visit. He was received by his counterpart President Teodoro
Obiang Nguema Mbasogo at the airport, and given a red carpet
welcome and military Salute.
