JNPT organises ‘International Train the Trainers’ seminar at JNPT Antwerp Port Training Centre

Skill upgradation and ability to absorb latest technological changes into the day to day working is critical in today’s world, hence it isimperative for employees to be equipped with the state-of-the art technology. Efficient trainers, who are trained by experts, are needed to prepare and train the employees to successfully face the emerging work-related challenges, says a release from JNPT.

With this in view, JNPT Antwerp Port Training and Consultancy Foundation organised 10 days international ‘Train the Trainers’ program aimed to enhance expertise, skills and capacity for selected trainers, which will benefit them to discharge their duties efficiently. The training program assisted trainers to conduct training programmes, educational methodology, practical organization workshops and the evaluation of trainees.

This was the first seminar conducted in the beginning of 2018, in which participants from various ports like VOC Port Trust, Kamarajar Port Ltd, Mumbai Port Trust, Visakhpatnam Port Trust, Chennai Port Trust, Paradip Port Trust, Haldia Dock Complex, Kolkata Port Trust, Deendayal Port Trust, Cochin Port Trust  and JNPT attended the seminar.

Under the training programme, various topics like IT & Technologies, Port & Terminal Management / Optimisation,Dredgingstrategy and technology for ports, Master planning & feasibility studies,Health,Safety & Environment, Marine services, Engineering & Procurement were discussed in detail.

JNPT Antwerp Port Training and Consultancy Foundation initiates workshops on several topics in which Indian port and terminal professionals participate for improving their knowledge base for further improving the operations at their ports.
