A ship carrying 22 Indian crew and 13,500 tons of gasoline is missing in the Gulf of Guinea after contact was lost in Benin on Friday, the company and India's minister of external affairs said on Sunday 4 February 2018.

It is feared that the vessel has been hijacked.

Last contact was made with the vessel February 1 at 03:30 UTC.

The 180-meter MT Marine Express is registered in Panama. The vessel was built in 2009.
