During EPC Summit 2017, organised by
Export Promotion Centre, a nonprofit organisation running under the TN Chamber
foundation, encouraging first time
exporters and regular exporters to participate in the global trade , Mr. Rao
said the passenger and cargo traffic will increase in the years to come which will pave the way for export growth and will benefit the trading community in Madurai and
South Tamilnadu Regions.
Continuous learning and updated knowledge
on guidelines in export procedures and
custom operations are the must as detailed
by Mr.N.Sethuraj, IRS, Assistant Commissioner of Customs, Custom House,
Thoothukudi, who explained the custom house operations during exports and
clarified the doubts on GST and duty drawback
to the exporters.
Various Issues faced by the exporters and solutions for the same were explained by Mr.A.Sakthivel, Regional Chairman, Federation
of Indian Export Organisation (Southern Region) who was the special guest for
Mr.V.Neethimohan, Managing Trustee, TN
Chamber Foundtation, Mr.N.Jagatheesan, President, Tamilnadu Chamber of Commerce
and Industry, Mr.S.Rethinavelu, Chairman, TN Chamber Foundation, delivered the
addresses on various subjects viz., the qualities required for an exporter,
export infrastructure in South Tamilnadu , Attitude and Aptitude for an ideal exporter,
buyer expectations from Indian exporters etc.
