Senior IAS officer Pradeep Singh Kharola
has been roped in as the chairman and managing director of Air India.
Kharola is replacing Rajiv Bansal, who
had been serving as the interim CMD for a little over three months for the soon
to be privatised Air India. The appointment comes days after Bansal was given an
extension for three months.
Previously, Kharola has served as the
managing director of Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation.
