APL enhancing Asia-India Subcontinent services

American President Lines (APL) has announced the enhancement of five Asia-India Subcontinent services on November 8th. A faster turnaround and transit time will characterise the enhanced product profiles. All the sailings have minimum calls at India's West coast ports either at Mundra or JNPT while the cargos for the East Coast Ports are landed either at Singapore or Colombo as Transshipment cargo. None of these liner services call at East Coast ports of India.

In particular, the Asia Subcontinent Express (AS1) service is being revamped into two services—AS1 and Asia Subcontinent Express 3 (AS3). This will shorten the current 49-day round trip of the AS1 service to 42 days while the AS3 service will cover its loop in 35 days.

The services have been redesigned with the following port rotation and effective sailings.
