A one hundred Member Indian business delegation,
comprising leading manufacturer exporters of Textiles and high fashion garment
industry will be in Dubai, UAE from November 1 to 3 to participate in the
International Apparel and Textile Fair to be held at Dubai World Trade Centre.
The Business Delegation, led by Dr. A. Sakthivel,
Chairman, FIEO Southern Region will be
displaying high fashion readymade and fashion garments, technical textiles,
kids wear etc. in the Indian Pavilion constructed under International Apparel and
Textile Fair to be held at Dubai World Trade Centre during this period.
The United Arab Emirates ranks as one of the
large markets for Indian textile imports and is the 4th largest Global Trading Centre
of fashion and apparel. Dubai is emerging as the global trading hub for Textile
and Fashion industry. Presently, India’s textile and garment export focused on
Europe and U.S. market which in turn supplies to Gulf Cooperation Council
market. By participating in the Dubai fair, FIEO envisages to reach major GCC
markets directly for Indian textile products.
Mr. Navdeep Suri, Ambassador of India, Abu Dhabi along
with Mr. Vipul, Consul General of India, Dubai will be inaugurating the Indian
Pavilion on November 1.
