An interactive GST awareness programme was
conducted by M/s. Srivalli Shipping & Logistics Private Limited in
association with the officers of the Visakhapatnam Central GST
Commissionerate. The GST awareness
programme was inaugurated by the Principal Commissioner of Central Tax,
Visakhapatnam Shri. B. Hareram, IRS.
Speaking on the occasion he said several steps were being taken to
streamline procedures and further simplify the GST provisions. He urged all the participants to take active
part in the awareness programme and clear all doubts they had on the
implementation procedures. Shri. P.
Muthusamy, Additional Commissioner Central Tax, Visakhapatnam also spoke on the
Shri.F.A. Cooper and
Shri. C.N. Anantha Narayan, Senior Superintendents of the Central GST
Commissionerate conducted the interactive session which lasted over five
hours. M/s. Srivalli Shipping along with
their associate partners and other Service Providers clarified all their doubts
on the various procedures in GST.
Several queries related to SEZ supplies under GST, export related
benefits, GST rates and exemptions related to Transport related services,
preparation of Tax Invoices, Return filing were discussed in detail during the
session. A presentation was also made on
the manner of filing the interim Return GSTR-3B for the months of July and
August 2017. A total of 135 numbers of participants took active part in the interactive

and Shri.Nagraj, Assistant Commissioners of Central Tax Visakhapatnam Central
and Visakhapatnam North Divisions respectively and their Divisional Officers
also participated in the awareness programme.
