Doctor’s Day celebrations were held at the Mormugao Port Trust (MPT) Hospital
on 1st July 2017 under the able guidance of the Dr. Nimish
Pillai, Chief Medical Officer, MPT Hospital, says a release. Dr. Gloria
D’Silva, welcomed the gathering on behalf of the CMO and enlightened all
present at the function as to why the 1ST of July is chosen by
the Government of India as ‘Doctor’s Day and the objective of the celebrations.
Narendra Parulekar, Senior Surgeon, at the Port hospital speaking on the
occasion advised the doctors to follow professionalism in these challenging
commercial times. This was followed by CMO’S address to the gathering, where he
too stressed for commitment of selfless service towards the profession, and at
the same time to take care of personal health and not allowing the stress of the
profession to take toll on Doctor’s well being.
