MOL signs coal supply deal with TPCIL

Japanís Mitsui OSK Lines (MOL) has signed a coal transport contract with Thermal Powertech Corporation India Limited (TPCIL), jointly owned by Singaporeís Sembcorp Industries and Indiaís Gayatri Projects Limited.

 Thermal Powertech Corporation India Limited (TPCIL) owns and operates a 1,320-megawatt thermal power plant in SPSR Nellore district in Indiaís Andhra Pradesh state, the company said in a release.

 TPCIL is owned by Sembcorp Industries, a leading energy, water and marine group based in Singapore, and Gayatri Projects Limited, one of Indiaís leading infrastructure development company.

 TPCIL is supplying electricity to Andhra Pradesh and Telangana States. MOLís ocean shipping services will support the project by providing a stable supply of coal.
