major IFFCO Paradip Unit observed its “46th National Safety Week” in
their plant premises from 4th to 10th March, 2017.
On the occasion of concluding ceremony, Mr.J.P. Srivastava, Joint
General Manager (E&S) welcomed the Chief Guest Mr. Bichchanda Behera,
Joint Director (F&B), Guest of Honour Mr. Manoj Kr. Panda, Asst. Director
(F&B),Govt of Odisha and Sh. A K Panda,Unit Head of IFFCO along
with other senior officials present on the occasion.
Prizes to all winners in different safety competitions were distributed by Sh.
B. Behera, the Chief Guest of the concluding ceremony. He addressed the august
gathering “I am proud and privileged to attend the concluding ceremony of the
National Safety Week at IFFCO, Paradip Unit.” He informed the gathering
that IFFCO Paradip unit has created unique environment on safety awareness amongst
their employees, contract workers, including inhabitants of IFFCO
Township. He also explained that prevention is better than cure, and
safety accounts to prevention means better production and IFFCO is a safe
working place. He further added that safety is nothing but free from
hazard and safety is a catalyst. If there is a will, there is way to
prevent any kind of accident or incident so
‘will’ is required to be safe always.
During his speech, Guest of Honour Mr. Manoj Kr. Panda has explained that IFFCO
Paradip Unit has achieved "930 accident free mandays" in their
plant. Mr. A.K.Panda, the Unit Head also spoke on this occasion and
reiterate all workers to maintain safe in the working place, on the street and
at home. He also informed that safety always plays a major role in the
industry and makes a person healthy.
In this occasion, Mr. K J Patel, GM (Maintenance), Mr. G R Baranwal, GM
(Materials), Mr. S R Maurya, DGM (P&A) and Mr. G C Acharya, Chief Manager
(Human Resources) were also present and witnessed the occasion.
Mr. R P Gupta, DGM (F&S) gave vote of thanks to all.
