Laying emphasis on foolproof industrial
safety mechanism, cooperative
fertilizer major IFFCO, Paradip Unit today 4 March observed its 46th National
Safety Week in their plant premises. By dint of concerted efforts and
orchestrated measures over the years, IIFCO has emerged as a zero-accident
zone. It has shown shining examples for other industrial ventures to follow,
said the company
All employees of IFFCO, contract workers assembled during the flag hoisting and
oath taking ceremony on the opening day of the National Safety Week. Mr.
Manoj Kr. Panda, Asst. Director (F&B) and the Chief Guest has addressed the
huge gathering and expressed his satisfaction on IFFCO’s achievement of 924
accident free man days till date. He further spoke on this occasion and
admired such an achievement of IFFCO’s which is very rare in terms of Paradip
being a major
industrial sector in the state of Odisha.
Unit Head Mr. A K Panda advised all the employees and contract workers to
continue the same spirit to make the Unit ‘0’ accident working environment in
the years to come and informed all to follow the slogan “you save yourself and
save others”. He further informed the gathering that all must use without
fail safety equipments during the work and strictly follow safety norms for
better working place so that we, at IFFCO Paradip Unit become example to other
industries and thus they follow our style.
On this occasion all the General Managers, Joint General Managers and all other
officials & workers of IFFCO Paradip Unit were present and also spoke of
the safety measures. Mr. R P Gupta, Deputy General Manager (Finance) read
out the Annual Safety Report.
Mr. J P Srivastav, Joint General Manager (Utility), Mr. S R Maurya, Deputy
General Manager (Personnel & Administration), Mr. G C Acharya, Chief
Manager (Human Resources) were present and witnessed the occasion.
Finally, the occasion concluded with the Vote of Thanks conveyed by Mr. S K
Kamble, Manager (Finance) of Paradip Unit.
