Chinese spy ship extends the stay at Hambantota port for another 3 days

The Chinese spy ship Yuan Wang 5 scheduled to depart on august 19 has extended its stay at the Hambantota port until august 22 according to the latest schedule announced by the Naval vessel Sri Lankan media reports said.

The Chinese vessel functionaries who had initially indicated that the ship would leave Hambantota port on August 19, but decided to stay until August 22  an official said. 

Hambantota Port Harbour-Master Nirmal Silva told Daily Mirror the ship informed earlier that the ship would leave by August 19. However, he was informed once again on August 18 that it would stay till August 22. 

 The ship was docked in the Hambantota port on August 16. 

Sri Lankan government has been asserting that its port authority controls the entry and exit of vessels into the Hambantota port even though the port was fully owned by the Chinese company.

The bull dozing of the Chinese spy ship clearly revealed who called the shots in the Port strategically situated at the southern tip of the island and close to Indian waters than the Port of Colombo say industry sources.
