Kerala has been pledged Rs 10,000 crore as investment at the
Round Table on Investment Opportunities held in Dubai under Chief Minister
and their domains for investment
Leading port terminal operator DP World will invest Rs3,500
crore , RP Group, Rs1,000 crore; Lulu Group, Rs 1,500 crore; and
Aster, Rs 500 crore. Small investors promised Rs 3,500
crore at the round table on Saturday 5 October.
DP World, which is operating the International Container
Transshipment Terminal at Vallarpadam, will invest in the shipping and
logistics sector in the State; RP Group in the tourism sector; Lulu Group in
retail; and Aster in the health sector. At the round table, the Chief Minister
announced that an investors’ meet will be held in Kochi in December.

DP World vice president Omar al Muhairy
said the MoU would be signed during the proposed investors’ meet in Kochi.
Speaker P. Sreeramakrishnan; Minister
for Industries E.P. Jayarajan; Minister for Tourism Kadakampally Surendran; vice
chairman of Norka Roots M.A. Yusufali; K. Elangovan, Principal Secretary,
NoRKA; non-resident Keralite industrialists Ravi Pillai, Azad Moopen, and
Shamsheer Vayalil attended the meet.
