The 6 lane Delhi Meerut Expressway will be fully Operational by May next year

The sixty kilometer six lane Delhi Meerut Expressway will be operational by May next year Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari informed the Rajya sabha last week.

The project one of the several ones designed to decongest Delhi is being taken up in four packages. With the completion of the Expressway project next year,  the distance between the two cities can be covered with in

an hour.

 

 The details of packages and status of work are as under:

Pkg.-III: From km 28.000 to km 50.270 (Dasna to Hapur Bypass) in U.P.

6-National Highway

The present physical progress is 93%.  Expected date of completion is 31st July, 2019.

New Alignment

Pkg.-IV:  Greenfield alignment  from Dasna to Meerut (km 27.740 to km 59.777) in UP.

6-Lane Expressway

The present physical progress is 51%.   Expected date of completion is 31st December, 2019.
